At the physician site we have compact video-conferencing equipment with integrated EMR support. Securely connected this offers a truly turn-key solution.

DTN provides an established physician specialty network so healthcare providers such as Hospitals, Clinics, Long-Term Care, Correctional facilities, and other Specialized Health Centers that utilize our telehealth solutions are immediately able to see benefit.

With the mobile cart (Telehealth End Point or TEP) in the provider facility, the physician can perform remote patient examinations in real-time from wherever he is, whether it be in his office or on a mobile device out of the office.

The physician is able to use whatever electronic medical equipment is available at a particular TEP, including electronic stethoscopes, otoscopes, ophthalmoscopes, thermometers and sphygmomanometers to gather important diagnostic information. Definitive care, in the form of a consultation with the patient, can be provided as required.

The DTN network infrastructure ensures a secure, reliable, connection between physician and patient to re-create the in-person experience.

Integrated with leading Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems DTN supports the Health Level 7 (HL7) exchange of clinical data pertaining to the encounter. In cases where an EMR is not used physicians may maintain a hardcopy that can be scanned and printed at the patient location, or conversely when the patient has written information for the physician it can also be scanned, transmitted, and printed.

To complete the turn-key solution, once the physician has finished the patient exam, the consultation is documented in the EMR, coded and becomes a claim that is submitted to the appropriate third party payor by DTN's billing service.

The DTN system once installed opens new opportunities for distance learning and video conferencing.
